Homemade is Best cookbook by Forsman & Bodenfors for Ikea: winner of the Graphics category
The winners across the seven product categories have been announced for the Brit Insurance Designs of the Year 2011, currently on show at the Design Museum in London.

Ikea's Homemade is Best cookbook, designed by Forsman & Bodenfors, won the Graphics category for its pared-back, geometric presentation of ingredients, while the Furniture award has gone to Branca by Industrial Facility, a chair with a similarly pared-back aesthetic which combines digital manufacturing processes with a form inspired by nature.

The Product category winner is Plumen 001, by Hulger & Samuel Wilkinson, which is marketed as "the world's first designer energy-saving lightbulb". On a similarly eco-friendly theme, the Transport category winner is the opinion-dividing Barclays Cycle Hire scheme, implemented by London mayor Boris Johnson.

Flipboard by Mike McCue and Evan Doll: Interactive category winner
The Interactive category has been one of the most discussed of the exhibition; the winner in this category is Flipboard, an app designed by Mike McCue and Evan Doll which consolidates all of its user's internet reading and browsing in one place, creating a personalised magazine.

The winner for Fashion is the Uniqlo+J range designed by Jil Sander, nominated as a great example of high-end fashion going high-street and thus becoming available to an expanded audience. Lastly, the Architecture award was taken by Open Air Library by German firm KARO Architekten.

The overall winner will be announced on 15 March 2011.
